Creating change through art takes community. When you volunteer with TAP, your time, skills, and creativity help expand access to programs that support mental health, elevate community voices, and build connections. Whether you assist with a youth program, a public exhibit, a community event, or a behind-the-scenes project, you help create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. You do not need to be an artist—only a willingness to contribute.

Volunteer for the Arts expands what TAP can make possible. By sharing their time, talents, and creativity, volunteers help bring arts-based programs, youth events, and public exhibits to more people. Their support creates opportunities for individuals to share their stories, build confidence, connect across differences, and experience a stronger sense of belonging.

Share your time, creativity, or professional skills in a way that feels meaningful to you. Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year and may include:
Artists and non-artists are welcome. Every contribution helps TAP bring creative opportunities to more people.
Through Volunteer for the Arts, community members share their time, skills, and creativity to expand access to arts-based programs at home and abroad. Volunteers can support programs in Frederick or strengthen TAP’s partnerships in India and Nepal through fundraising, professional expertise, art supplies, and project support. Whether helping with a youth program or an international Photovoice project, every contribution helps people share their stories, strengthen well-being, identify community needs, and lead meaningful change.
